An open window in Brussels to Sol i Serena's Catalan Music!

The Walloon Belgium has opened a window these days focusing Catalonia. The Fédération des Jeunesses Musicales Wallonie-Bruxelles is getting the belgian public to discover catalan music. They have invited the group Sol i Serena to give 28 concerts during two weeks. The weather these days in the region is particularly sunny and everybody comments about the mediterranean sun brought by the musicians.
Sol i Serena is performig throughout the Walloon territory. Most are school auditions, but there are also some prominent public concerts, including the venue in Palais des Beaux Arts in (BOZARSUNDAYS) on April 21, or the Live show on national radio RTBF La Première, where Didier Melon radio operator gave them full space program Le Monde est un village.
Other Sol i Serena's public venues are on Wednesday 24th April in the Médiathèque, Rue de Seuwe 24 in Mons; on Friday April 26th at 20:30 at Festival E'Vocable in the Ferme de Froidmont in Rixensart; and on Saturday 27th at 20:00 (or later) in Sauvenière Brasserie, located at Place Xavier Neujan of Liège, all also with the support of the Catalan Government.
Sol i Serena, a consolidated group with ten years of experience, has performed in several showcases, lately in Glasgow, Toulouse and Brussels. As a result some programmers have opted for the proposal and lively acoustic sound of the band, that creates its own expression based in the traditions of catalan-speaking territories.
Due to the increased interest in Catalonia and Catalan Music! label, as represented by Sol i Serena, in Wallonie is taking place the celebration of Sant Jordi's day, with other catalan street music, minstrels, cobla, folk and electronica, among others. These days Menneken Pis is dressed in Catalan hereu.
As they explain in their own blog Sol i Serena (Marta Rius, Lidia Domingo, Jordi Barbet "Kami", Guillem Ballaz, Jordi Comas "Peligru" Francesc Tomas "Panxito") are taking advantage of living several days together in this tour to work intensively on their third album.
